As construction demands grow and timelines shorten, General Contractors must think outside the box to deliver on schedule. Our #UnistrutMidwest engineers recently developed a solution for a new EV battery plant in the Midwest that helped to keep the project on track. Our trade partner could see in the early stages of the project that the schedule was likely not achievable with traditional welded steel construction methods. Among their options to make the schedule were increasing manning and opening additional fabrication shops. However, due to the shortage of welders available at the scale needed and the rising operational costs and complex logistics of establishing new facilities, they looked for alternative solutions. Sikla siFramo allowed our trade partner to keep their staff manning as planned, didn’t require additional fab shops, and allowed for easy field adjustability for any issues/clashes not detected in the model without cutting and welding.
