The Government of Canada, through PrairiesCan, is investing over $6.3 million in nine projects aimed at strengthening Saskatchewan businesses, enhancing innovation, and expanding market reach. This investment includes support for Indigenous-led companies, helping to build a more inclusive and diverse Prairie economy. These investments target both new and established businesses. Non-repayable funding will boost start-ups by supporting economic ecosystems that offer crucial resources, training, and mentorship. Repayable investments will focus on scaling high-growth businesses, enabling them to expand their offerings, reach new markets, and create jobs. The projects receiving support include: Indigenous Manufacturing & Contracting Network will provide training and mentorship to Indigenous companies, helping them build capacity in the manufacturing and contracting sectors. Conexus Credit Union is hosting the Startup Summit in Regina, annually over three years, creating a vibrant ecosystem for founders, investors, and mentors to connect and scale their ventures. University of Regina is putting on the Startup 101 Bootcamp, introducing U of R students, postdocs, and faculty to the world of entrepreneurship. Andgo Systems will scale up its workforce management software platform, optimizing staffing levels, improving efficiency, and enhancing employee satisfaction for large employer enterprises. Saskarc Inc. will purchase automated processing equipment to increase steel fabrication capacity, vital for large infrastructure projects such as airports, bridges, and high-rise buildings. Dasro Consulting Inc. will expand internationally by establishing a digital recruitment platform, helping employers find qualified candidates. DynaIndustrial LP will purchase and commission equipment to increase manufacturing capacity. QuickLinkt Solutions Ltd. will expand market reach by hiring new staff in sales, marketing, engineering, and support. Cubbi Technologies will increase operations and marketing to expand food delivery services to businesses in Saskatoon, Calgary, and Regina, using specialized refrigeration systems and an online mobile application. These investments are paving the way for a stronger, more inclusive economy in Saskatchewan by supporting businesses that are ready to grow, innovate, and succeed.
