New research from Accenture out today finds that running optimized workloads on AWS’s infrastructure is up to 4.1 times more efficient than on-premises, and when optimized, associated carbon footprint can be reduced by up to 99%. As AI workloads become more complex and data-intensive, they will require new levels of performance from CPUs, GPUs, memory, storage and networking infrastructure, all of which require energy and have a corresponding carbon footprint. While on-premises data centers have inherent limitations on energy efficiency, AWS is continuously working to make the cloud the most sustainable way to run our customers’ infrastructure and businesses. Talking about footprint whilst Data centers runs on electricity, could you bet it’s produced by renewable source. Carbon footprint is just a crap, Ireland for instance.
Thanks for sharing💯🤠
