The ERC is a tax credit designed to encourage employers to retain employees during challenging economic times, such as the COVID-19 pandemic. 2️⃣ Who is eligible for the ERC? Eligibility criteria include experiencing a significant decline in gross receipts or being subject to government-ordered closures due to COVID-19. 3️⃣ How is the credit calculated? The credit amount is based on a percentage of qualified wages paid to employees, up to a certain limit. 4️⃣ Can an employer claim the ERC for 2020 and 2021?
