The first ever digital media network that is specifically for youth sports, Youth Inc., has raised $4.5m in a seed round. The Seed fundraising was led by Sports and entertainment venture fund Will Ventures. Co-investments were made by Ryan Sports Ventures, Hello Sunshine co-founder Jim Toth, Isos Capital Management, NFL quarterbacks Josh Allen and CJ Stroud, and The Ohio State University football coach Ryan Day. The network is co-founded by former National Football League (NFL) tight end Greg Olsen, ex-director at Fanatics, Ryan Baise and Tim Murphy, former The New York Times and Audacy, Inc. executive. The content will be aiming to help out the parents, coaches, young athletes by allowing them to understand potential opportunities and the issues that are presented by youth sports. There are also plans for the launch a direct-to-consumer marketplace, this will offer a variety of brands to youth sports fans, coaches and athletes. With an extra service that will offer help for larger youth sports clubs to run their merchandise function. Baise said: “A premium, on-demand merchandise experience is missing from the youth sports market.” “By leveraging new technology and a differentiated supply chain, we aim to uplevel how youth sports products are sourced, furnished and delivered.” #youthsports #opportunities #media #merchandise #YouthInc #network #multimedia #digitalmedia #funding #investment
