Always believed that it almost impossible to fully automate chip design. Recently, we have been forced to revise that opinion. Everyday, we see that Gen AI can do some more tasks that humans used to do. First it was simply writing RTL, then commenting the code, then verification, then physical design flow, and so on and on. Control Signals: Uses write (wr) and read (rd) control signals along with full and empty status indicators to manage data operations. Pointer Management: Employs a single pointer to track the current position in the memory stack, adjusting dynamically as data is written and read. Applications: Ideal for stack-based operations in computer programs, function call management, and situations requiring last-accessed data to be processed first.
