(best advice I’ve ever heard) Working from home as a neurodivergent individual, I've come to realize the amount of distractions that can shatter my hyper-focus. It's not just the landscapers making their rounds with leaf blowers or the neighbor who seems to save all his loud phone arguments for the bench across my house. It's about preserving that precious bubble of concentration that's so hard to come by and so easy to lose. Noise cancellation headphones have become a necessity. But it doesn't stop there. Here’s how I create a focus-friendly environment: → 𝘾𝙡𝙤𝙨𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙙𝙤𝙤𝙧 to minimize interruptions. → 𝙇𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙣 𝙩𝙤 𝙡𝙤𝙛𝙞 𝙢𝙪𝙨𝙞𝙘 to set a calm, productive atmosphere. → 𝙇𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙜𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙋𝙤𝙢𝙤𝙙𝙤𝙧𝙤 𝙩𝙚𝙘𝙝𝙣𝙞𝙦𝙪𝙚 to break work into manageable intervals. → 𝙐𝙨𝙚 𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙚 𝙗𝙡𝙤𝙘𝙠𝙨 to dedicate specific hours to focused work. Tip 180. Leave ten minutes earlier for your morning commute. Would you be willing to throw ten minutes away on your morning commute? Think about your drive to work. When was the last time you really enjoyed it? For many people, it’s simply a race to arrive on time. If that wasn’t bad enough, think how you feel when an emergency is thrown at you just as you walk in the door. (“No doctor, no unusual stress. Just the normal day-in-day-out stress that is turning my brain into mush. Why do you ask?”) Imagine how pleasant your drive would be if you had plenty of time and no cares in the world (all right, I am stretching it a bit) as you watch other cars maneuver for position and cut one another off. By giving yourself those extra ten minutes, you’ll actually be able to enjoy your commute and experience the present. Who knows? You may even stop using your smartphone. You’ve got to give to get. Ten will get you a lot more later on.

6dI was unable to get a priority pass membership at the discounted price and an email they sent me. Customer service spent an hour and 19 minutes on the phone with me and refused to honor the discounted price. Consequently I won't be using priority pass
