Antibody Therapeutics (2022 CiteScore: 6.4), the official journal of the Chinese Antibody Society published by Oxford University Press has published 26 papers in 2021. The 3rd paper we would like to feature is entitled “Leukocyte immunoglobulin-like receptor subfamily B: therapeutic targets in cancer” contributed by Chengcheng Zhang from University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. Activation of LILRB signaling may contribute to immune evasion and support cancer development. The dual roles of certain LILRBs in cancer biology—as immune checkpoint molecules and as tumor-supporting factors—suggest that LILRBs may represent attractive targets for cancer treatment, and antagonizing LILRB signaling may prove to be effective anti-cancer strategies.
