But having talented individuals is not enough! Leaders need to create an environment that facilitates employees feeling heard, valued, and capable of doing their best work. A practical model for developing the key components of team effectiveness is called GRPI, an acronym for Goals, Roles, Processes, and Interpersonal. Without this solid team foundation, trust and performance will always be an issue. ๐ฐ ๐๐ถ๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐๐ฅ๐ฃ๐ ๐ณ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐บ๐ฒ๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐ธ ๐๐ข๐๐๐ฆ The importance of effective goals on team performance is well-documented. Goals give teams direction and unite each individual effort in getting there. Goal clarity includes Purpose, Values, Team and Individual Goals ๐ฅ๐ข๐๐๐ฆ Clarity of each memberโs authority, responsibilities, and tasks are needed to effectively accomplish team goals. Each person should have a clear picture of who is responsible for what and the extent of their authority. ๐ฃ๐ฅ๐ข๐๐๐ฆ๐ฆ๐๐ฆ Effective processes for decision-making, problem solving, communication, resource allocations, learning, etc., support team goals by defining the important interactions needed for success. ๐๐ก๐ง๐๐ฅ๐ฃ๐๐ฅ๐ฆ๐ข๐ก๐๐ A strong social support system is the most important factor in creating great teams.
