🧱 One of my favorite things about building and growing Signature Athletics is the evolutionary journey we have embarked on. 🌱 From humble beginnings in a college dorm, trying to figure out how to make a better lacrosse ball... to being the #1 ball in the game, trusted by more pro, college, high school, youth, and travel programs than any other ball in the game. 🚀 We didn't stop there... we continued to push the boundaries, identifying more problems the players and coaches we serve had. This led us to develop quick connect goals and complete lacrosse sticks that all come game-ready right off the shelf. 🔥 We applied that problem-solving approach to building AthleTech and SignatureLocker.com, transforming the traditional bulk order process for custom team swag and uniforms into an on-demand model. This cut lead times from an industry average of 10 weeks from the order cut-off to under 15 days from when a parent places the order. This also eliminated the need for Program Directors to do the last-mile delivery, saving them 100's of hours a year. And the best part is, it gets more swag into players' hands, more money into the programs serving these players, and ultimately helps these programs get more kids involved in sports! We have truly innovated in a non-differentiated market that has relied on the same broken bulk order process for the last 20 years! 🌟 👕 💪 I am incredibly proud of the team; over the last eight years, we have built multiple solutions and continue to honor the core belief that a product/service must solve a clear problem for the clients we serve ❤️ #sports #leadership #innovation #culture #business

Communication is key, better put Effective communication is the key to success! Often times we fail to communicate and even when we do we don't communicate enough, it is often overlooked or not given the attention it deserves. We assume that others will understand, but this assumption can lead to misunderstandings and missed opportunities, waste of resources and wrong perception. Often times the organizational #leadership assumes the team should know what's is expected or next line of action, #communication is a task least attended to perhaps, thinking the team will sure figure it out on their own, the team "often do" reading between the lines, interpreting body language, or via informal channels. This can result in confusion and frustration, the results thereafter are always far from expectation. Communication is crucial , especially if it's clear, concise and detailed. When communication is wholly relayed effectively, it saves valuable resources that would otherwise be spent on managing the aftermath of miscommunication. Thanks for sharing Prof. Ndubuisi

More companies should be like US Open winner Bryson DeChambeau 🏌🏻♂️ His incredible journey from polarizing figure to beloved champion 🏆 is a masterclass in how to build future-proofed brands and fan communities. The question that's more important than HOW he did it, though, is WHY. What sent him on that journey? My theory after being in the business of commercial transformation for over a decade: 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁. Despite the big LIV payout, perhaps Bryson was 𝘶𝘯𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 with the possibility of becoming irrelevant to PGA Tour fans. The worst possible fate for his career. 🪦 Perhaps that discomfort spurred on his personal brand transformation. Perhaps not. But the reality is, Bryson had the same opportunities to create content and engage directly with fans when he was on the Tour. Yet, he didn't. It's understandable. That kind of transformation takes a LOT of extra effort. And before the LIV move, there wasn't much inherent pressure for him to do anything different. Unfortunately, most brands and properties avoid discomfort for far too long and lose their window to achieve transformation intentionally. Fortunately for him, Bryson chose to embrace the discomfort proactively. Transformation born out of necessity is much riskier business. Did anything surprise you about Connecticut winning back to back National Championships? For me it was learning about how Coach Dan Hurley handles his business. In the brave new world of NIL you may think they just outbid all others for the best players. For Connecticut that does not appear to be the case. "Dan Hurley’s success at UConn can be traced back to his recruiting philosophy. And for Hurley, the juggernaut that he has built at UConn is based on not getting the best athlete available." “ It starts in the recruiting process with an evaluation of the parents just as much as the player. "There's measurable talents you have to have -- the height, the speed, the skill set.
