Equity In Infrastructure Project (EIP) August 16, 2024 EIP is a national initiative dedicated to building generational wealth and reducing the racial wealth gap by improving public infrastructure contracting practices to create more prime, joint venture and equity contracting opportunities for Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUBs), which includes many Small and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises. CTA was one of the first five signatories to sign the EIP Pledge—a multimodal group of public transportation agencies known as the “First Movers”—and CTA President Dorval R. Carter, Jr. serves as an EIP co-chair.
