ELICSAR: We are a scalable platform that integrates over 50 open-source components that provides cyber situational awareness of networks with an enterprise-wide logging architecture, a more than 1,900 user base, and over 80 analytics and applications. ELICSAR is the only capability in the Air Force that can facilitate data search, query, and analysis at the Petabyte scale. A big challenge that we faced was how to manage incremental growth. When we first migrated to Cloud One in 2019, capacity was at 2 petabytes. That grew to 5 petabytes within a year and by May 2022, we were at 11 petabytes. Our systems are high volume and predictable workloads that run 24/7.
