Diffusing a difficult person is a struggle, especially when the person is unwilling or unable to pivot in the face of kindness. Psychology Today

That Scripture is ultimately talking about two of the “fruitages of the spirit” noted at Galatians 5:22, 24 peace and self-control. Peace and peaceable conditions are things that must be sought. And in doing so we must be aware of not compromising our righteousness for peace sake.
