☀ LNR - La Nouvelle Renaissance in Cannes - D+2190! 😎 This is not a post to say that we'll be attending to this year's Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity 🎬 Nor is this a post to say that we'll be running for a Palme d'Or at Festival de Cannes 🛫 It's a post that talks about planes. And a crazy adventure that happened to us a few years ago: we launched the Red Bull Air Race in Cannes in 2018! 📄 Why do we talk about this just now? The answer lays in 3 letters: N-D-A 👑 Yet, we did work extensively for this worldwide event that happened only once in the city of aviation. With the Heavent Award in Cannes, our current submissions mark the end of the awards season. For our project with the Porsche team, "75 Years of Porsche Sports Cars," we've secured 2x Gold at the Galaxy Award and received nominations at the bea Award in Rome and Heavent Award in Cannes. The competition and the competitive landscape among international agencies are incredibly strong. Therefore, we are delighted with the 2x Gold and nominations and extend congratulations once again to all winners!👏🏽 What are our takeaways? Efficiency:  The industry's evolution demonstrates ongoing professionalization. Year by year, the focus shifts increasingly towards KPIs, success measurement, and efficiency in utilizing clients' event marketing budgets. We're eager to see how digitalization and AI will further advance these themes.🚀 Sustainability:  Efficiency seamlessly transitions into sustainability. Were resources consciously allocated for the project? Were resources and budgets sensibly aligned with communication objectives? Ecological sustainability, alongside digitalization, stands as a trending theme in event marketing. However, social sustainability should not be overlooked. Does the project offer an opportunity to make a positive statement aligned with clients' values? Modern media makes it possible for almost anyone now to give a Ted talk or be on stage at several symposia and events. It still amazes me today that some of the best minds we had in engineering were rarely on such a 'big' stage, either by their own choice or perhaps because they did not generate such levels of interest. In November, Ing. Dallara spoke in front of no more than 30 very lucky but also very passionate people seated at the Fiera di Bologna. Here Ing. Materazzi very openly and patiently speaks to a reporter from one of the towns in Cilento, and in particular is not afraid to tell things as they are, rather than saying things to please industry observers. It's nostalgic yet refreshing, since we trend towards a system of bigger is better: more clicks, wider audiences etc. Everybody seems to know who the F1 drivers are, while not so many people know who are some of the key figures who nurtured the racing and high performance car industry. As we draw closer to the deadline, here are our top tips for writing award entries: Give it a go: Submitting your work for external scrutiny can be nerve-wracking but the process itself offers invaluable learning and growth. Often the ones who least expect it are the ones who win as they approach the task with humility. Start Early: Begin the process well in advance of the deadline. This allows ample time to gather information, write, review, and refine your entry without feeling rushed. Work as a Team: Involve key members of your organisation in the entry process and collaborate with colleagues who have different perspectives and insights. As well as creating a well-rounded submission, this will maximise the learning you gain from the writing process. Gather Comprehensive Information: Collect all necessary data, documents, and testimonials early on. Having all the required information at hand will make the writing process smoother. Draft and Review Iteratively: Write multiple drafts and seek feedback after each iteration. Don’t be afraid to edit ruthlessly. Submit early: The earlier you submit the more time we have to consider you for different/ additional categories before we send your submission to the judges.
