Climate change: we can't do more of the same   In an article on Medium, Senior Lecturer Otto Scharmer gives us a mirror about the biggest challenges the world is facing (link to article in the comments). Of course, global warming is one of them.   Scharmer: "The abyss says: you can’t do more of the same - look into the mirror. But thus far we’re not listening. We’re burning more fossil fuels ..."   The author proposes to look in the mirror of the whole system. We need to transform and reshape our systems from “extraction to regeneration and flourishing”.   At Pure Carbon Blue, we think we're already in the right direction when all businesses take a look at what they can do now to tackle climate change. Luckily, a lot of them already do. $38 trillion in damages each year by 2050 due to #climatechange and the World economy already committed to income reduction of 19 %. Even if carbon emissions were to be drastically cut down starting today, the world economy is already committed to an income reduction of 19 % until 2050 due to climate change, a new study published in Nature finds. These damages are six times larger than the mitigation costs needed to limit global warming to two degrees.
