💼 Job Shadowing at Coachella - Behind the Scenes 💼 Hey, y'all! The NAMED Advocates recently gave over 10 BIPOC-disabled folx the chance to job shadow at Coachella as participants in Goldenvoice's Accessible+ Pathfinders Program. It was a seriously cool hands-on experience that's all about nurturing growth and practical learning. Together, we're breaking oppressive workplace norms and crafting a safe space where diverse talents can thrive side by side, generation by generation. A+ is a lovely example of how diversity initiatives can kickstart innovation, knowledge sharing, and community building. DEI programs give BIPOC people with disabilities in the live event industry practical skills and insights into creating experiences that are accessible to everyone. That's EXACTLY why we need more programs like this that support BIPOC-disabled folks. Wondering why programs like this matter? How do you celebrate the workversary of the members of your team? Is it something important for your work culture? 🤔 What about cartoonizing everybody and capturing some of their uniqueness on a trading card? 😆 We thought this idea would be brilliant, so we designed custom Moonshot's WorkVersary cards for 2024! We know that in a busy work environment, it's easy to miss out on the details that make each of us unique or on the things we like and do at a more personal level. So we were on a mission to find a way to celebrate important milestones while highlighting each team member's individuality. It's been 100% a fun way to get to know each other better beyond our professional roles. And, of course, the team members can keep them as a nice memory.
