Ever wondered what the impact of a properly implemented system is? 🏋️♂️I’ve been a member of two gyms in the past year: David Lloyd in Northwood and my local gym at the end of my road. 👟My training partner has been a member of the Grove (luxury spa and golf hotel) and the local gym too. ✔️When comparing the three, we agreed the equipment is better at our local gym (the product). ☹️However: there are repetitive issues with our local gym (the service). For example: music not on, air con not fixed, no toilet roll in the ladies, out of order equipment for weeks on end etc. In contrast as soon as anything goes wrong at the other gyms the system kicks in. 👍Things get fixed immediately. The problem doesn’t recur. This enables them to charge a whole heap more and have their customers happily pay it. Recently we all decided to change gyms and this is how it went… We had been at a very traditional gym for over 4 years and it was pretty much all we knew. My brothers loved the culture, discipline, and techniques learned, but they wanted to start competing in the sports. We spoke with our gym and were promised 3 fights one after another which never came off and it was looking more likely as time passed that this would not happen but we were given no honesty meaning we lost trust in our teacher. Btw we never even sparred with shin guards they were alien to us and we trained on carpet! Starting to question everything we had previously been taught we decided to try another gym….. After this, we were blocked and removed from our previous gym. Old teammates were told to not speak to us. A lot of lies about what had happened. As well as my mum received a pretty horrible personal message labeling us as disloyal and disrespectful. BUT Since we have not looked back as it turned out to be the best decision ever! My brothers were fighting within a month of training. Something we never thought would come off because of previous dishonesty. Anyway - both brothers have now had 2 inter-clubs, with another this week, as well as being put onto the Sandee Noivce open show. None of this would of been possible if we had remained at the same gym. The point is if you feel you are no longer growing in your current environment because of potential limitations, only you can do something about this. It is admirable to try something new or explore potential options rather than wonder 'what if'! For us the risk ended up paying off as a reward.

PureGym made it hard and confusing!!! They need to take a wee step back and remember the basics! Make everything easy.
