🩸 Correctional centres are widely recognised as having high rates of blood-borne viruses (BBVs), such as hepatitis B, hepatitis C and HIV. 💊 Prisons provide an opportunity to test and treat people who are often marginalised and find it challenging to access health care once back in the community. Treating people for BBVs improves health outcomes for those living with a potentially life-long condition and helps curb the spread of infections in the wider community.
