Creative Leadership is a youth movement within Caux Initiatives of Change. The inspiration of the Creative Leadership team comes from more than 250 changemakers in their 20s and 30s of 98 nationalities. They create and lead international conferences and courses aimed at reconceptualising leadership through a journey of personal and collective growth, using arts, story sharing, workshops and dialogue groups. MALAYSIA CELEBRATES UNITED NATIONS DAY 2023 24 OCTOBER 2023 Malaysia joins the international community in celebrating the 78th anniversary of the United Nations (UN) today. UN Day is an annual celebration to mark the entry into force of the Charter of the UN, which led to the establishment of this august body on this day in 1945. Since joining the UN upon gaining its independence in 1957, Malaysia has consistently promoted the three (3) founding pillars of the UN system namely, peace and security; human rights; and development. Malaysia continues to believe that the multitude of challenges the world face today can only be addressed through greater cooperation and a reinvigorated multilateralism system. In order to do so, overdue reforms need to be undertaken to ensure that UN remains fit for purpose. On this day, Malaysia renews its commitment to the UN. The United Nations country team in South Africa 🇿🇦 is now supporting the government and people in the implementation of the national commitments towards #SDGs Acceleration - submitted to the UN, include https://lnkd.in/eWbRrX_p: - Reaffirming strategies for a transition to a low-carbon economy and ensuring that such a transition is fair and equitable by including the needs of all stakeholders, especially the marginalised communities and works most impacted by it. - Expanding training and education in the digital economy, with a focus on girls and women. - Supporting women’s entrepreneurship and their meaningful participation in the economy by eliminating financing barriers against them. - Making the SDGs a more central focus of national planning and oversight; strengthening the capacities of local and subnational governments; and boosting transparency and access to information.
