As one of my favorite holidays, Thanksgiving is totally without expectation, unless you burn the turkey. Décor can be casual and totally organic. Thanksgiving is a great time to reflect on family and friends. We can choose to look at family get togethers as a time to ‘brace yourself’ or a time for making memories. It can be a relaxing time if you plan to your advantage. If you are hosting Thanksgiving, ask your guests to bring that dish that they love to make. If each guest brings something maybe you can cut your list to cleaning, setting the table, and cooking the turkey. If your gathering is small, prep as much as you can the day before. Your house does not have to be ‘white glove’ clean. Limit this list: -Is the dishwasher empty? with no dirty dishes in the sink -Is the bathroom clean and well stocked? -Has the trash been taken out? -Has the dog been taken out? -Vacuum and dust if you must. Thanksgiving is also a great time to dwell on the positive side of your life; what you do have that you are grateful for? Relish those positive people in your life. #thanksgiving #grateful
