Day 1 of summer begins with a celebration of the school year! Sometimes, when that imposter syndrome seems to settle in, we often forget the impact that we have on others. I'm thankful to say that, even if I haven't found a role in tech yet, I'm still changing the world for the better. Ultimately, isn't that what we all want? Don't we all want to make the user experience better when they use a company's product? Sometimes, I feel that that idea transcends even the corporate and business worlds. We do want to create that experience for others because it's our job, but how much better of an asset and employee would we be if we pursued a purpose outside of the realm of financial security? The amount of student/workers I have personally seen achieve (extremely) high 6-figure salaries after attending a short term "coding" bootcamp is striking. Something the critics don't talk about and could rarely see. Funny thing is, often the loudest critic shouting their views is usually also the least informed. Excited to share my journey through my first task at Cognifyz Technologies where I delved into the fascinating world of predictive analytics for restaurant ratings! In this exhilarating journey, I had the opportunity to explore and apply cutting-edge concepts like Mean Squared Error (MSE), R-squared Score (r2_score), and interpreting influential features. These terms weren't just words anymore; they became tools in my arsenal to decipher and predict restaurant ratings with precision. One of the most enriching aspects of this experience was understanding the nuances of influential features. Unraveling the hidden patterns behind what makes a restaurant stand out in ratings was like solving a captivating puzzle. As I embark on my second task with unwavering enthusiasm, I carry forward the lessons learned from my maiden voyage.
