👋 "If you're sitting in Heathrow airport, and I'm sitting here in downtown #London, can you see which hand I'm putting up?" Quobly CEO, Maud Vinet, in front of a packed conference room at Economist Impact #Commercialising #Quantum Event, illustrating the constraints of quantum error correction (#QEC) with current quantum control electronics. ⌛ No matter how you split it, getting your feedback right with #qubits over long distances (which translates into latency or time) is tricky! 💡 We at Quobly believe that when using existing #CMOS technologies we can exploit the true potential of #semiconductor spin qubits for full fault-tolerant quantum computing. Indeed they offer the unique advantage of allowing for control electronics to sit on the same chip as the qubits. This translates into fast feedback loops, so that messages don't get lost in transportation! 👍 Stay tuned for the results! And thanks to Economist Impact for a great event! We can't wait to come back next year! Maud Vinet it was great to have you on my panel - and I really enjoyed your explanation of why quantum error correction is so difficult!
