"We always talk about change and transformation and relevance. I think what I learned from this journey is that you can go into the system as a manager and draw an idea and make people go that way. But to make a sustainable and profound change and to create an environment where something can grow and have a long life, you must talk about the topics that are relevant to the organization. And how do you find that out? It’s not by you, as the manager, telling people what to do. It’s by listening to the people. And that’s what we did. And to me it was kind of shocking. We guessed before the Qvest, “what are the important, most relevant words people are going to be talking about?" I think we had 5-6 guesses. And we didn’t have one hit! And you are there, and you think you know what’s relevant for the people. But you don’t." Earlier this week, Stine Thomßen and @Carsten Mohr from the Paint Shop in AUDI AG shared their experience using the digital Qvest platform to collect, analyze, and utilize the power of their employees' questions. Together with their executive coach, Stefan Daniel, they have been on an incredible quest to engage their leadership peers and employees in defining, discussing, and dealing with the most important issues facing the company. Thanks for sharing, Pia Lauritzen, PhD. I hope by releasing this work in the public we can inspire leaders, change makers and process facilitators to flip the coin and start their initiatives by building on relevance and evidence of the social system, they want or need to transform. Ultimately, we as humans construct our reality and the more we can get out of the way as consultant / leader (of course without giving up responsibility), the more likely we understand the reality of the social field. Then we can design much more precise, what needs to transform from within.

I love this! More of this please :-)
