When I entered college, I had no idea what I wanted to do post-graduation.   Rather than focus on figuring out my future career, I decided to dedicate my time and effort to organizations with missions I resonated with and to make sure I enjoyed my college experience.   A few of the extracurriculars I participated in were key to my personal development and allowed me to build a foundation to get where I am today.   💲 As the Fundraising Coordinator for my social sorority, I learned how to manage multiple competing deadlines and work with a team to plan and execute a successful event.   🎗 As a member of the Mission Committee for Relay for Life, I learned how to work closely with a team and ensure our organization remained aligned with our mission.   💻 My time as a Talent Operations Intern at Inclusively taught me how to understand a job spec, source candidates, and ultimately help individuals find jobs. I learned what I looks like to truly build a company from the ground up, challenge the status quo, and work towards a shared goal.   🌏 After graduation, I lived in Australia for a few months and took time to process my college experience and decide what I wanted in my career. I realized that there were a few common threads from my extracurriculars that stood out to me. - I enjoy helping others - I like working with a team - I want to help build something from the ground up - I want to work somewhere where the mission is at the forefront of all we do   My extracurriculars in college, though I didn't realize it at first, were all guiding me to work for a company like Joss Search. If I can give any advice to recent grads, it's to take the time to think about what drives you and where you can see yourself thriving for the long term!
