Honest feedback is definitely important and crucial to building trust and a culture of continuous growth. I coach many high achieving women who are craving for feedback that drives them to go to their next level. Many of them are frustrated because they simply get: “You are doing a good job. Keep doing what you are doing.” I had a client that shared that he told his team member that he did a good job at giving a presentation because he didn’t want to discourage him. That is not of service as a leader!! Leaders need the courage to give honest and constructive feedback that fosters continuous growth. Empowering Women, Elevating Leadership was the topic for CXO Roundtable organized by Pitney Bowes and well moderated by Zinnov. A room full of stories, learnings, best practices, determination and grit of women who want to do something meaningful for generations to come. But how do we empower women? Simply by empowering each one and our fellow women colleagues around us. Let’s be honest to each other. A key component to empowerment is being honest. We empower other women when we celebrate their successes. Real queens fix each other’s crowns without telling the world that it was crooked. Lets be each others favorite cheerleader. Encourage other women to step up, give them the charge to make their own decisions. Tell your story with all challenges. Try and remove the hurdles and challenges you have gone through for other women. Ensure voices are not only being heard but responded too. Workforce reductions. A lack of commitment to DEI efforts. - This article provides an overview of challenges faced by DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion) leaders in recent years. However, DEI can still be embedded in core processes and HR and managers must be thoughtful in their decisions and conversations. Still, we must not forget that DEI initiatives are waning and that organizations may risk alienating their workforce and customer base by breaking promises to their constituents. In light of these challenges, the question arises: How can organizations ensure that DEI remains an integral part of their culture and operations? The Executive Leadership Council (ELC) has released key findings from our survey: Special Report: Insights and Advice on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion from Top Black Executives in Corporate America. Read more: https://lnkd.in/eMGRzqVB Despite rising challenges, our survey highlights a solid commitment to DEI among top Black executives, providing valuable insights and strategies for success. Key findings include: ✅ Treating DEI like other business drivers. ✅ Implementing clear measurement mechanisms for DEI strategies. ✅ Remaining steadfast in DEI support despite opposition. Nearly 72% of respondents felt their companies' commitment to DEI was strong. However, 36% reported a reduction in vocal DEI support.
