“Velo3D Sapphire is a disruptive machine within a disruptive sector. It has the capability to manufacture geometries that are just not possible from any other manufacturer. [The Sapphire] allows low build angle prints without support structures. On external geometries that may not sound like a big deal, but when you’re dealing with internal geometries, such as a compressor volute, this allows us to completely change the geometries and allows them to be more efficient than it would be with other equipment.”  A. It was a somewhat unusual experience at the Advanced Prototyping Solutions meeting and conference in Lyon this week! Every customer visiting us was asking about series manufacturing of end parts and not about prototypes. The exception was asking about tools made with our AM technologies. It was a pleasure to see Jacky and Nikolas in action, consulting customers about their best options for success with Additive Manufacturing. In the video below, you'll see the testimony from Thomas Lecrest, who regularly uses our services for MERIO, a French designer and manufacturer of high-performance, lightweight, and multi-sensor Gimbals for aerospace applications. This is just another meaningful use of a limited series in AM, benefitting from the technology's functionality, lightweight capabilities, and economics. No wonder our Manufacturing segment is constantly scoring above 65% in NPS (Net Promotor Score) quarter after quarter.

Looking back to March 2022, the team worked hard on the second CN-Seamless prototype. We reconsidered every detail during the second design phase, including torch positioning, user enhancements, and safety measures optimization. 🔧💡 As the team completed the design revisions a few months later, we developed an efficient production plan for organizing the creation of internal machine components. We've also added protective 3D-printed covers and smart cable management solutions to improve functionality and aesthetics in the second prototype. 🦾⛑️ Prototype 2 received positive feedback during its presentation at Senior Design Day, reaffirming our project's success in April 2022. Features like height control, magnetic base, emergency stop functionality, and hall effect sensor homing were now functional with the second prototype. 📐🔌🛠️ Stay tuned for the final update in our prototyping journey to see the connection between Prototype 2 and the CN-Seamless Mach 1. 🙌 #innovation #engineering #prototyping #technology

From June 19-20, the PIAE - Plastics in Automotive Engineering known as the most important leading congress for plastics in the automotive industry takes place in Mannheim, Germany. Our co-founder Dominik Dörr will provide a presentation on “Virtual Validation and Optimization as Enabler for the 3D Skeleton Winding (3DSW) Technology for Innovative Lightweight Structures”. The presentation will outline a digital design approach for 3DSW structures upon the newly developed 3DSW rear trailing arm for a Hyundai Motor Company (현대자동차) Santa Fe. The demonstrator part was developed in a collaboration project between Fraunhofer ICT, Fritz Automation GmbH, and Simutence GmbH. The result of the project is an industrial-scale production cell for the 3DSW technology. Moreover, a holistic virtual design approach is defined and applied to the rear-trailing arm. The result is an integral demonstrator part, which outperforms the differential metallic design with nine parts and reduces the component mass by 38 %. A lot of interest about our 𝗠𝗕𝗠𝟱𝗞 from 𝗣𝗶𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗶𝗮𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶 𝗥𝗼𝗯𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀 at recent productronica in Munich. It's a compact #bonding machine for #multilayer with an average power consumption of 𝟯𝟬𝟬𝗪 only. Ideal for medium production and prototyping, it offers the same performance as larger models, but with a very limited investment. It allows to produce 𝟯𝟯" 𝘅 𝟮𝟲" multilayer panels with thicknesses up to 𝟭𝟱 𝗺𝗺. The 𝗠𝗕𝗠𝟱𝗞 also featured the new software that can now be installed on all 𝗣𝗶𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗶𝗮𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶 𝗥𝗼𝗯𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀 machines, which allows the automatic control and monitoring of the temperatures of all welding points, completely eliminating the risk of burning and allowing, thanks to 𝘩𝘪𝘨𝘩 𝘧𝘳𝘦𝘲𝘶𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘺 𝘱𝘶𝘭𝘴𝘦 𝘵𝘦𝘤𝘩𝘯𝘰𝘭𝘰𝘨𝘺, to heat uniformely the inside of the panels even in the case of very high thicknesses. #pcbproduction #multilayerpcb
