🍝Mangia! Range recently made a $4,000 donation to the Washington Health System Foundation's Teen Outreach Summer Camp Program! With this partnership, Range employees attended the camp to talk about internships, career paths, and the industry. The donation also covered the costs for the program's "Italian Day of Cooking" classes. Looks like everyone had a great time!

Tomorrow is the last day to participate in the Batten Alumni Advisory Board’s “Spring Challenge” to fundraise money for the University of Virginia Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy. Donations go towards students whom pursue unpaid or underfunded internships in the public sector. This year, the goal is to raise $35,000 to support the Batten School’s future policy leaders. Your donation can: (1) Allow students to pursue internships that align with their passions in policy. (2) Alleviate any financial barriers that prevent today's student leaders from becoming tomorrow’s public servants. (3) Pay forward a metro swipe to work, a networking lunch, or a tank of gas to commute. Having experienced unpaid internships, I know these donations can very much be the margin of success for these students’ careers. The impact compounds far past just funding the internship, as that experience then leverages other opportunities down the road. Join us in raising money for the future policy leaders at the Batten School and help leave a lasting impact in these students careers by making your gift today! #GivingDay #UVA #Batten #PublicSector #Internships “ https://lnkd.in/eEBz9rZ8

On this Giving Tuesday, please consider supporting NYC youth through Roads to Success, an organization I have been involved with for many years. The pandemic significantly impacted academic achievement, leaving many students struggling to recover even three years later (article link below). Your donations will directly contribute to reducing education disparities. This #GivingTuesday, our focus is on raising crucial funds for these initiatives: - College prep workshops - College tours for low-income students - College applications/travel for first-gen students - Career-building workshops and leadership events - Paid internship opportunities NYC's youth possess immense potential, but many lack the resources to reach their aspirations. Together, we can rewrite this story! Every contribution, no matter the amount, makes a meaningful difference. Will you join us in supporting their journey today? GIVING DAY IS HERE!! Our office, Virginia Tech Career and Professional Development (CPD), is accepting donations as a part of #VTGivingDay from now until noon tomorrow (2/22). Every dollar you donate will go directly to CPD to help students in need! Did you know that the average wage for an intern is $20.76/hour, and the average wage for a student on co-op is $20.20/hour? (https://lnkd.in/emaJZg8f) Without the financial support of these wages, many students are unable to cover the costs of unpaid internships. Virginia Tech Career and Professional Development wants to help fill these gaps for students, and we need YOUR help. By contributing to our Giving Day fund, you can help support Hokies in unpaid internships and offset other hidden costs of participating in internships such as the cost of transportation, housing, relocation, required work attire and materials, and other living expenses. If you are interested in donating, please follow this link before tomorrow (2/22) at 12:00 PM; https://lnkd.in/eDWKYb6H. We are excited to see these funds put to use because of your generosity!

What could be more brat than starting a non-profit because you lost an election? In the words of Charlie XCX, “You’re just like that girl who is a little messy and likes to party and maybe says some dumb things sometimes. Who feels herself but maybe also has a breakdown. But kind of like, parties through it, is very honest, very blunt. A little bit volatile. Like, does dumb things. But it’s brat. You’re brat. That’s brat.” Iykyk. Starting a non-profit as high school students is one of the most brat things we’ve done. Emerging in this field can be messy, and there are many obstacles that we face each and every day. There are fees. Forms. Legalities. It’s the exact opposite of clean. But we party through it. We party through it because our mission, centered on creating pathways for intersectional growth in sustainability, equity, and education, is one that can change the lives of the future generation. What could be more brat than that? We need the help of driven youth leaders to make our vision possible. So if you want to transform your brat summer into a brat autumn, apply to 4SEE Student Leaders Internship today. 🍏Eligibility: Current high schoolers and undergraduate students 🍏Time Commitment: 2-3 hrs/wk 🍏 Deadline: August 25 at 11:59 PM ET 🌱 Apply now: tinyurl.com/4seeinternship

It's #GivingTuesday, a national day to support your favorite #charity. Did you know that beyond supporting small businesses to learn about technologies, systems, and strategies, the #TechWithHeart Foundation (nonprofit) supports #minoritystudents to gain competitive advantage through virtual #internships in marketing, media, journalism, and web development? Imagine if you had a mentor at such an early age. What would your career look like today if you had been shown the blueprint for business success as a young adult? If you have a heart to support minority students, or would like to get involved with mentoring and teaching, please consider supporting this initiative. Our goal is to teach and train these students in preparation of supporting the needs our small business community. It is truly a team effort. $50/day, less than a full bag of groceries, will feed a student’s future for a lifetime! https://lnkd.in/eePa2iKY #minoritystudentinternships #diversityandinclusion #tech_w_heart #educationalnonprofit

As the 2024 Auction Night approaches, we need your help with donations once again to make it a success! Your item donations will be auctioned to students during our annual Auction Night. Thus, gentle reminder to respond by April 8th, 2024, so we can coordinate accordingly. Since 1979, IF has provided stipends to MBA students pursuing summer internships that advance SOM’s mission of educating leaders for business and society. Thanks to the generous donations in the past years, over 20 students last year participated in social impact internships ranging from the National Park Service to the UN World Food Programme. Over time, we are seeing higher and higher levels of interest in social impact internships. There are two ways to give: 1. Donate an item/experience to IF’s Auction Night: We are currently seeking donations for our silent and live auction. Past alumni donations have included Broadway tickets, Polo retreats, sailboat outings, and more. If you would like to donate an item or experience, please reach out to [email protected]. 2. Make a tax-deductible donation to IF: As a benchmark, $200 sponsors a student for a full day of their internship. Every dollar counts! You can make your donation at tinyurl.com/IFdonate. Thank you so much for your generosity and support of the Internship Fund at Yale SOM!

Empowering Charities Through Apprenticeships | Corndel | Data Driven Decision Making | Strategic Use Of Apprenticeship Levy and Gifted Levy | Passionate About Supporting Charities To Be The Best They Can Be |
Apprenticeships are not about: 📍 Forcing someone in to a programme ⚡ Being offered to only 'top right' performers 1️⃣ A one off learning experience Apprenticeships are about: 🕛 Continuous Learning 🤝 A collaborative partnership between us, the charity/organisation and the learners 🤲 An impactful option for all staff, not just those who are the high performers 💲 A cost-effective learning and development opportunity using apprenticeship levy (or gifted levy...did you know we won an award for our work on that?!) We work directly with #L&D and People Leads, along with the Department Heads to decide what the right apprenticeship is for your learners and charity strategy. It is not about just having 1-2 learners from a large organisation ad-hoc, as you will struggle to see impact. I'm delighted that in the time I've been here I've seen a real shift from organisations looking to make real impact with apprenticeships , and hope this continues even further into the rest of 2024. #apprenticeships #careeradvice #learning #skillsdevelopment https://lnkd.in/ewaNFvQY
