More exciting news on Two Circles growth journey!

Uisce Éireann Irish Water is a brillant place to learn huge array of things about water and wastewater and how we bring clean safe drinking water to 1.7 million homes and 178,000 businesses. We’re a regulated business with significant commitments to deliver a resilient water services. We’ve Customer teams, a huge Operations Team who have real challenges every day to keep the water flowing. We also deliver huge strategic programmes with over 8,000 different assets from reservoirs, to pumping station, water and wastewater treatment plants and a whopping 63,000 kilometres of water pipes, much of it old and in need of upgrade. Our graduates will be exposed to the science bit, hydreology, laboratory testing of water, how we build and manage vast amount of infrastructure, to energy and to the future using renewable energy sources. Uisce Éireann Irish Water use 20% of all electricity in the public sector, to keep all of our assets running. They will also learn about leakage, about communications, finance, corporate governance, regulation and the required HR Strategy and Safety Strategies, led by our People & Safety Director, Dawn O'Driscoll They will also learn about the complexity of IT transformation and the business services and systems needed to run a complex and growing business like ours. 🌟 Exciting Personal Development Journey Update! 🌟 I recently joined the Scottish Financial Enterprise Young Professionals Network to embark on a journey of personal growth and development. One of my main goals was to overcome my insecurities, particularly around public speaking. Thanks to the incredible support and opportunities provided by SFEYP, I've been able to step out of my comfort zone and host several events. Most recently, I had the honor of preparing for the Sainsbury's Bank and SFE GEN event. During my preparation, I had a reflective moment while journaling in the morning. It dawned on me that no one has ever explicitly told me that I can't speak or that I'm a bad public speaker - those were limitations I had imposed on myself. I realised that feeling nervous before speaking engagements is inevitable, but it's how we channel those nerves that truly matters. Drawing from my experiences as a gymnast and cheerleader, I remembered how I used to feel nervous before competitions but never let it deter me. Instead, I channeled that energy into excitement and performed at my best. The lesson I learned is that the story we tell ourselves can either hold us back or propel us forward. By shifting our perspective and embracing our inner cheerleader, we can turn nerves into opportunities for growth and success. What's the story you're telling yourself? CORE (Career Opportunities in Real Estate) is an eight module, workforce development program designed specifically to promote career awareness and attract underrepresented populations to the real estate industry. Part of what lights me up is introducing my colleagues to over 200 students in our Spring 2024 cohort. These students represent over 350 colleges and universities in 46 states. Join me in thanking Terreline (Shellie) Sims, NAAEI’s Director of Workforce Development; Peter (Tola) Adediran, Asst. Project Manager for HITT Contracting & RECA Board Member and Karen V. Mills, P.E.,Esq., Founder & CEO of GIMOS, LLC for offering words of wisdom to our students. On a personal note, make the most of connections so that someone will carry your name into rooms that you aren’t in. Lastly, Karen reminded us that the graveyard is the richest place on earth, because it is here that you will find all the hopes and dreams that were never fulfilled, the books that were never written, the songs that were never sung, the inventions that were never shared, the cures that were never discovered, all because someone was too afraid to take the first step, keep with the problem, or determined to carry out their dream.
