There’s a lot to look forward to with a new football season, and if you’re a Manchester City supporter you’ll also have the promise of Piing games to add to your match day fun. Piing is the Official Crowd Games supplier to Manchester City Football Club, meaning fans will be able to take part in Piing games pre-match and at half-time in the Etihad Stadium and the Joie Stadium on match days, as well as in hospitality areas such as the Blue Carpet experience. . The multi-year Official Supplier agreement is a first among Premier League clubs and supports further fan engagement for Manchester City. This will allow fans the chance to test out their penalty shooting skills with the Pen-Kick on the big screens, and flex their footballing knowledge with Quiiz. Both games are Piing fan favourites and have been played in stadiums around the world. The bank holiday weekend is here and we’ve got a bucketful of Piing coming to a major sports event near you. We’re mainly UK based this weekend with a touch of US, and as usual we’re covering a range of sports at some of the most exciting events on the calendar. We’ll be at the third leg of the Union Cycliste Internationale MTB World Series 2024 at Fort William, with adi.tv. Spectators in the fanzones can test their virtual MTB agility with our Mountain Bike game across the three days of the event, from today until Sunday. Football fans at Burnley FC will get to play our Footy Race and Footy Rebound games before their home match against Newcastle on Saturday afternoon. Meanwhile, down the M66 in Manchester, Man City will be using both Piing Pen-Kick and Piing Quiiz at the Etihad Stadium in the pre-match entertainment before the Wolves game on Saturday. The now regular and much anticipated half time Quiiz will keep fans at the Joie Stadium guessing when Man City Women’s team take on Arsenal on Sunday. At a time when rugby union is struggling in North America, and despite not having the Eagles qualifying for the RWC23, Major League Rugby is attracting many former rugby icons, such as Matt Giteau, to name but one. Recently, Stade Toulousain, one of Europe's most prestigious clubs, joined forces with the Utah Warriors, striking a major blow on the American Rugby Union (XV) market. However, it is Rugby League (XIII) that is about to conquer the American market. This type of rugby, often described as more spectacular and rougher, is about to set foot in the United States. The economic strategy behind this move is questionable and highly risky... But "high-risk = high-reward". I can't wait to see if Rugby League (XIII) can make it on the American market before Rugby Union (XV) rugby does.
