The complexity of Healthcare spend in a chart. With so many brilliant digital health companies and initiatives closing their doors this year I believe the problem remains the way healthcare spend is distributed and controlled across countries making it very difficult for #digital to scale. #Marketaccess and #reimbursement is often focused #DTC and via #Employers as the more "straightforward" route forward (but comes with its' own challenges), whereas Government level negotiations can take years and require evidence which can be unsustainable for funders. Some predictions based on recent conversations: 💡 We will see increased mergers and acquisitions (M&A) activity: The digital health sector is anticipated to see a surge in M&A activity, driven by consolidation among startups and strategic acquisitions by larger firms. 💡 Enhanced regulatory and compliance standards: There will be a greater emphasis on regulatory compliance and data security in digital health in light of the AI Act and more scrutiny on data quality and data handling 💡 Operational efficiency and cost reduction value messages: AI is streamlining administrative and operational tasks within healthcare systems. This includes automating routine processes such as scheduling, billing, and patient communications, which reduces operational costs and frees up healthcare professionals to focus on patient care. These efficiencies are crucial for the broader adoption of digital health solutions, making healthcare delivery more sustainable and accessible #dayone #digital #ai

I agree with your three bullets, although there are some systems (like France) where much of the operational friction has already been removed from the system using a fully integrated system.
