I wanted to write a comment on this post as they're disabled I'm sharing my thoughts here. Respectfully, hiring someone for $6 an hour and bragging about it on LinkedIn sounds super uncomfortable. First off, I was the same person who used to work on $6 to $8 an hour. Everything went pretty smoothly. However, when I started to see the revenue I was making to a single company while working on peanuts I knew I'd made a wrong decision. A company earning $50k from the lead generation and appointment setting effort while paying your Sales rep $6 an hour screams cheap. This made me change my field to marketing, which I haven't regretted. The point is that. Yes, it may seem a lot in 3rd world countries, I know you love to exploit those people because hey! it's a free labour for you right? But let's analyse this from a bigger perspective. When your sales rep will get to know that there are other companies who are willing to pay him more than $6 an hour or when he'll realise that if he just starts his own business he can make triple the amount you're giving him. First thing he's going to do is start being less productive on the work, he'll start missing deadlines and potentially start working with other companies on the side. The problem stems from you paying him in peanuts while earning 6,7 figures from his efforts. You can hire good people and let them work and scale your business, or you can hire cheap people and tell them what they have to do.
