Entrepreneurs create and build businesses because they’re impatient for change: whether that’s a better way of doing things, a better product, or a better service. The most successful entrepreneurs I’ve met marry that impatience with the patience and determination it takes to build a company that will endure for generations to come. It was great to sit down with Dan Rosen to talk about these ideas for his Commerce Ventures podcast, as well as my own reflections on building a category-defining company, and serving SMBs. Thanks for the conversation Dan!
We're closing out our SMB series with our first milestone investment in the category, interviewing René Lacerte the founder/CEO of BILL!! Dan Rosen and René Lacerte dive into the lessons learned in building a category-defining business and major moments of growth as a people leader. This conversation is all well and good. It’s a feel good piece speaking directly to all the “entrepreneurs “. I get it, it’s a great marketing and branding tool. So here’s another idea, how about focusing on producing a single positive earnings report, it might surprise you and stop the stock’s free fall.
René Lacerte , thanks for your commitment and support for black entrepreneurs in the USA. We are proud to partner with BILL to train, mentor, and provide access to resources to entrepreneurs, through the Accelerating Black Leadership and Entrepreneurship program, we started with lead funding of your company.
