If you’re truly passionate about something, you’ll always find the time. Early in the pandemic, I had days filled with over eight hours of Zoom meetings. My brain was getting tired, and I needed something to release the pressure. So, I went on Amazon and ordered two canvases, two paintbrushes and five tubes of paint. I’d certainly never painted on canvas before. In ninth grade, I took an art class. That was about it. I just started painting. I have never taken any kind of formal class, and I still don’t have my own style. Whatever pleases me, I paint. Sunday morning is the time I go to my studio. If I am traveling on Sunday, I honestly can’t tell you how much I miss my paint. I just want to be back in my studio. Many of my paintings have gone up for auction at different galas. Any money that is raised goes to student scholarship funds. I think if people say they don’t have time, they haven’t found something that they’re truly passionate about. It is so important. You cannot burn your candle from both ends. You have to pause and find your passion. Want to know more about my painting, gardening or Duolingo streak? I am constantly inspired by your words and achievements, even years beyond my graduation from UH! The painting looks amazing!
You are an expert at time management, you have so many passions you are able to juggle and find time kudos to you
Renu Khator... have had the opportunity to see many of your paintings either some you offered for sale or in your home. I might disagree with your comment ..."and I still don’t have my own style. Whatever pleases me, I paint." You have a wonderful style. What i would say is the subject matter changes.... all the time!
This is so true💯, “If you’re truly passionate about something, you’ll always find the time.”
This is truly affirming for me! I needed to be reminded to not allow my passions to be put aside for the pursuit of career goals. Without my passions, I feel as if I’m an empty shell. I started sketching again and my brain feels more stimulated. I’m more joyful and most importantly, I am reminded of who I am.
You write, and I quote: "... Many of my paintings have gone up for auction at different galas. Any money that is raised goes to student scholarship funds. ..." Good for you, President Khator, Ma'am! I don't know if you remember me (I would be pleasantly surprised if you did), but I hope we will meet again someday.
I’ve always loved you and admired you, but this is next level! You are extremely gifted and it’s even more wonderful that you sell them and donate proceeds to your students. Truly one of the best examples of servant leadership.
Love seeing all the things you are doing. Truly inspiring ❤️
It's so cool to see how we all took the time to channel into our creative process during 2020 in some form or another.

2wI did the same thing, taking up Line & Wash Watercolor during Covid lockdown. It has been great for my mind.
