Air India Express Fails to Honor Commitments on Flight IX784DD"
Our recent experience with Air India Express on flight IX784DD from Guwahati to Delhi has left us feeling utterly dismayed and disrespected. Despite booking our journey with the expectation of arriving in Delhi, we were abruptly diverted to Varanasi, resulting in a complete disregard for our time, money, and travel plans.
As paying customers, we entrust airlines like Air India Express to uphold their commitments and provide a reliable and punctual service. However, the sudden diversion of our flight demonstrates a severe lack of consideration for passengers' schedules and responsibilities.
The value of our time and money cannot be understated. We invest both in our travel plans with the expectation of reaching our destination as promised. The irresponsible handling of flight IX784DD not only wasted our time but also caused undue stress and inconvenience.
We call on Air India Express to acknowledge the gravity of this situation and take immediate action to rectify the harm caused to affected passengers. This includes providing appropriate compensation and implementing measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
As consumers, we deserve transparency, accountability, and respect from the airlines we choose to patronize. It's time for Air India Express to prioritize the well-being and satisfaction of its customers above all else. Anything less is simply unacceptable.

I express my regret and disappointment at the way we have been treated as your customers. Because of the diversion to Varanasi (Flight IX 784) on 13th April and termination of flight due to pilot unavailability, we have missed our very urgent international flights to London from Delhi that was scheduled today (14th April morning).
While we understand that such diversions can happen at times but no one has taken any responsibility or helped and we have been directed from one person to another. I am a wheelchair passenger with two kids and wife traveling. We are British citizens visiting family in India. The Captain didn't communicate with any passenger and rest were extremely condescending and unprofessional.
Now there are no direct flights to London till 17th and it has cost us in excess of Rs 4 lacs extra for new tickets plus the cost of staying in Delhi for 3 days.
I hope you will read this post and help us with a refund of the expenses and help the numerous co- passengers who have suffered due to unavailability of information as well as the condescending behaviour of the crew, especially the pilots.
I sincerely believe that such outrageous behaviour will be condemned by you as it brings disrepute to your organisation and to India.

In lieu of our harassment and financial losses of more than 4 lacs, Air India Express has offered to give me a Rs 5000 voucher so that I take back my complaint.

Keep this in mind the next time you think you have a bad experience flying. I've posted a lot on this platform about my horrible flying experiences but none of them rise to this level. For anyone in the aviation industry who has forgotten, people with disabilities are "people" as well. Mistakes happen but this type of mistake costs lots of money, time, and maybe even worse depending on the situation.

The only real solution is to always have your wheelchair with you. But then the airlines would have to put in those new accessible seat modules. There are only bandage solutions right now. No matter what policy is implemented now on how to care for wheelchairs, there will eventually be a break in the chain. The problem is the cost and most airlines will avoid the real solution. They can pay for damaged equipment easily. Making airplanes accessible takes a lot of money and effort. They are not inclusive partners.
