Last week, Alton’s New York office took part in our Pledge 1% volunteer day initiative, once again teaming up with West Side Campaign Against Hunger (WSCAH) in Manhattan to help alleviate hunger in the city.    WSCAH’s crucial work ensures all New Yorkers have access with dignity to a choice of healthy food and support services. On their own, via friends or #volunteering organizations: how #Ukrainians provide assistance? "The #survey "#Charity and #volunteering during the war: attitudes and #activity of the #population" showed that 53% of respondents are involved in helping on their own, 49% do so through relatives, friends or acquaintances, 39% use volunteer organizations and another 30% through charitable foundations. Since the majority of respondents (53%) choose by themselves whom to help, the struggle for their attention is intensifying. Along with the growing number of volunteer headquarters and charitable foundations, it will structure the market and make the activities of these organizations more streamlined and transparent.
