I had always thought that using a single-step checkout would give you the best conversions. But here’s what I recently discovered: Not always single-step checkout will perform better. But Here’s a few reasons why multi-step checkout can work better: 1) Doesn't look so overwhelming on mobile. 2) You can collect valuable data like drop-off rates at every stage. 3) More upsell opportunities. But don’t forget that multi-step checkout creates more friction that could cause people to abandon. Summary: Test which checkout works best for your customers.
