𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗲𝗹𝗳-𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗴𝗲 As some of you may have noticied I took a step back from Linkedin this past week. We are accustomed to seeing posts and news articles regarding setting boundaries with our children and social media. According to a study from the University of Pennsylvania, limiting social media time to approximately 30 minutes per day optimizes your mental health benefits. The LinkedIn algorithm doesn't care about your mental health, and Linkedin will be also here. Finding the balance between staying connected and taking care of ourselves is key. Let's remember: • It's okay to take breaks. • Disconnecting from social media allows us to recharge and focus on the present moment. #DigitalDetox • Set boundaries. Define specific times for checking social media and stick to them. #SelfCareRoutine • Choose quality over quantity. Curate your online experience by following accounts that inspire, educate, and uplift you. #PositiveContent I am very fortunate to have a group of people on LinkedIn who I call my close friends. They recognize the importance of balancing work, life, and LinkedIn. Let's prioritize self-care in our digital interactions and create a healthier relationship with social media. #nursesonlinkedin #healthcareinnovators #selfcare

How Social Media Affects Our Mental Health? Social media's impact on mental health is not straightforward; it's a complex interplay of various factors. For instance, how one uses social media (passively scrolling through feeds vs. actively engaging with content) can determine its impact. "Success is not final; failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that counts." This thought resonates deeply, especially in the context of our interaction with social media. The article I recently came across highlights how social media's negative impacts are backed by numbers. It showcases the significant effects on mental health, self-esteem, and anxiety levels. But amidst these statistics, we have the power to reshape our narratives. The article emphasizes the importance of mindfulness, suggesting that we can redefine our relationship with social platforms for the better. It's crucial to reflect on how we engage with these tools and seek balance. I'm curious—what inspiring experiences have you had that positively altered your perspective on social media? Share your stories below! https://lnkd.in/daxsm2Zj

🌎 Today is World Social Media Day, a moment to reflect on the journey and influence of social media in our lives. Did you know the first social media platform, Sixdegrees, was launched in 1997? It marked the beginning of a new era in digital connectivity. ℹ Since then, social media has revolutionized how we communicate, share, and connect. It's a powerful tool for networking, learning, and staying informed. 😟 However, it's also important to recognize its impact on mental health. While social media allows for unprecedented access to information and connection, it can also lead to feelings of anxiety, depression, and loneliness. The constant comparison and the pressure to present a 'perfect' life can take a toll on one's mental well-being. 🤗 On this World Social Media Day, let's celebrate the connections we've made and the power of social media, but also commit to using these platforms mindfully. Let's create a positive online environment, support each other, and promote mental health awareness. 🌎 Happy World Social Media Day! 🌎 #worldsocialmediaday #mentalhealth #supporteachother #wellness
