Tis officially the season of giving and the lights and festivities on our street show that everyone is getting giddy about the time of year and starting to think about gifts. But it follows Thanksgiving, a time I particularly like because it makes you pause to consider what you are grateful for. I’m always grateful for the amazing restaurants and food I get to try by being part of this industry. But then it also makes me pause to think of those less fortunate - especially the children where this time of year is supposed to be incredibly special. Which is why I was grateful to my wife for pointing this out to me. If you didn’t know for every 200 OpenTable points you give you can help provide up to 10 meals per child.📱🧒👧🏻 Elicia Orsbourn donated 2,400 points and that will help provide up to 120 meals! 🍲🥗🍲🥘🍲 🥪 It only takes a minute to open up the OpenTable app, see where you are with points, and decide how you want to redeem them. #nokidhungry is such a great cause. I love how restaurants step up to support too through… Donations: through the likes of Arby's DoorDash Tropical Smoothie Cafe, Viva Chicken, Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, Barlouise Round up Initiatives: through the likes of Mendocino Farms, The Habit Burger Grill, Marco's Pizza (Marco's Franchising, LLC) But I think enabling guests to use their #loyalty points is a GREAT way to support too. The restaurant team may think: what, how does that make sense because it doesn’t directly impact frequency, size of check etc? But loyalty goes both ways, and guests that know they can use their points or accumulated loyalty currency in some way that does “good for the world”. In turn, that will have a #haloeffect of that feeling of doing food towards the restaurant brand, thereby emboldening the guests’ loyalty towards it. Did you know the Digital Coupons Market is projected to hit a whopping $29.77 Billion annually by 2031? And here's our bold vision: we're aiming for 10% of those revenues. Think about the incredible good we could do for our nonprofits every year. It's about more than just business; it's about fostering a community that supports local businesses while giving back. That's the miracle we're working towards every day at Dining for Charities. New Horizons on the Web Our new website is set to launch in early January. It's more than just a fresh look; it's about creating a space where convenience and purpose meet, enhancing your experience and making every interaction smoother. This is a massive overhaul of our infrastructure and will be part of consolidating our separate markets all into a single source for future expansion. Expanding Our Reach We're not just growing; we're thriving! New cities are opening up in Atlanta, Brookstone, Alpharetta, Mobile, Auburn, and Santa Maria, CA. And that's just the beginning. We're also in talks with cities like St. Louis, KC, Minneapolis, Victorville, TX, and Redding, CA. Our mission is to spread the Dining for Charities spirit far and wide, and the team is making significant progress on our growth strategy. Giving Back, One Meal at a Time January is set to be a heartwarming month as we present checks to Columbus charities. It's a proud moment for all of us, seeing the tangible difference our collective efforts make. Embracing Diversity Inclusion is at the heart of our mission. That's why I'm thrilled to announce that Dining for Charities will soon be available in Spanish, thanks to a partnership that we should be able to announce sometime in January. What's Next? Inclusive Gathering: Held in the park opposite Hesed House Homeless Shelter, this event emphasizes inclusivity and community spirit.
