The Workforce Dilema is real, after nearly 50 years of decline in vocational and engineering education we are at a cross roads. "The immediate future of manufacturing and industry’s success lies in a dedicated focus on workforce development utilizing a variety of means.” RFC 2021 #workforcedevelopment #workforcetraining #EV #semiconductor #bigdata #manufacturing
The reality of a shortage in semiconductor talent has the industry on alert. Samsung Electronics is making efforts by having executives visit universities to meet future semiconductor talents and is also providing scholarships abroad to secure local talent. Taiwan’s TSMC, a foundry, is facing concerns that operational delays in their U.S. and German factories due to a global talent crunch might hinder their business. #semiconductor #manfacturing https://lnkd.in/eKKzX9vk

It is actively cooperating with IBM and Imec, and is also actively recruiting talents. It recruits industry veterans domestically and seeks professional talents abroad. Tetsuro Higashi, the 74-year-old person in charge, said that talent recruitment is not limited to Japan, but will expand to the world and actively attract talents. > Rapidus has about 250 employees as of this month, some interning at IBM's semiconductor labs in upstate New York. TSMC and Samsung have mass-produced 3nm and will mass-produce 2nm in 2025. Japan's latest semiconductor production line is still stuck at 40nm. #japan #rapidus #humanresources #talents #Semiconductorindustry #electronics #semiconductor #supplychain #manufacturingtechnology #processtechnology #engineering #manufacturing #technology #computerchips #business #innovation #semiconductors #chips #chipmaker #foundry credit: technews-tw
