Today is North Texas Giving Day. Who will you be giving to? I am supporting the below organizations. I don't share because I am "bragging" that I am donating, but so you can think about an organization who doesn't have a development department or much of a staff or may have both and big budgets but also do BIG things I share because this is the day your $1-umpteendollar donation does actually make a difference. I share because as business professionals our networks expand vastly and our skills and support help many of these organizations not only survive but thrive. Bridge Lacrosse: I served on the board of this organization in my early 20's. Our mission is to use the sport of lacrosse to broaden the horizons of our community's youth. Cristo Rey: My company, along with tons of other local corporations have supported these students for at least a decade. Most of these students go on to because first generation high school graduates and college graduates. The signature component of CRD is the Corporate Work Study Program, through which students work one day each week at one of more than 100 of Dallas' top companies, including Goldman Sachs, AT&T, Southwest Airlines, Children's Health and PwC. Dallas Furniture Bank: Our NTXGD goal for this year is to get 250 children off the floor an into a NEW bed of their own. Be The Difference Foundation: Because this organization is so important to a friend's Aunt and many in our community.
