Earlier this year I told you about the daughter of a friend, Betsy Oney, who I have known since she was born, who had a big dream.
For many years, her aunt, Ellie Dylan, was one of my best friends living just one house apart from each other in Columbus, and her mom, Betsy was the baby sister that I am sure I held in my arms a few times in the early 1960's. 😍
This incredibly smart and fun-loving young lady and I shared coffee on March 15th at San Francisco Coffee Roasting Company and I got excited hearing about her life, her mom whom I had not seen in 50 years, and her dream.
Three months later, her dream has become a reality.
Out of 7,000+ applicants, one of the only 12 that were chosen to drive the OSCAR MAYER FOODS Wienermobile Hotdogger for the '24 - '25 Season is that young lady, Ms. Sarah Oney.
You can follow Sarah's adventures on Instagram @om_sarahkraut. At some point, expect to see photos of my grandchildren inside the Wienermobile when Sarah passes through The ATL. 😀
The Columbus, Georgia Ledger-Enquirer shared Sarah's story on July 3rd: https://lnkd.in/eX7_Qjg5
So proud of you and for you, Sarah!

1yDoes that surprise you that the Mayor has accomplished so much? He is a Georgia Tech grad, after all!
