44% less injuries with e-scooters in 2023 The latest study from Micro-Mobility for Europe shows a significant decline in e-scooter and e-bike injuries in 2023: in comparison to 2022, shared e-scooter injuries per million trips fell by 44%, shared e-bike injuries per million trips decreased by 39%. Overall, the risk of injury when traveling on a shared e-scooter is lower than riding an e-bike: 3.3 accidents requiring treatment occur on an e-scooter per million journeys, compared to 3.9 accidents per million journeys on an e-bike.
