We're expanding! Getmancar will soon cover one more region 🔥. We are happy to announce that #Ukrainian carsharing will soon open + 1 country. This is incredible and we are very happy to be expanding and growing. This time #carsharing will open in #Moldova, in the capital #Chisinau. The peculiarity of this region will be the #car fleet. Only electric cars will be presented in the service - these are modern models, such as Volkswagen ID3, Honda MNV and others. #Electric cars will not only add an alternative mode of transportation, but will also reduce the environmental burden on the city, because one electric car produces on average 50% less greenhouse gas emissions than a gasoline car. It seems that we have only recently opened in #Georgia, and we are already adding a third country. We are sure that new discoveries and new regions will follow 🙌 #Getmancar #mobility #experience

Has the much-publicised Chinese car invasion of Europe hit the buffers? According to the latest #SchmidtAutomotiveResearch analysis, a large proportion of electric Chinese passenger cars landing on European roads this year are entering rental and car-sharing fleets. Six-in-ten #BYD models entering the German market for instance, during the opening ten months of 2023, saw their models end up in the traditional place where manufacturers go to push volumes if the private market doesn't bite. The Munich-based Geman car rental company SIXT which has a large deal to take BYD models recently confirmed that the uptake of BEVs from thier current fleet remained far under the level of ICEs. #Sixt signed an optional 100,000 BYD fleet deal with the Chinese company last year which runs until 2028. That works out at roughly 16,000 BYD BEV units per year with the initial focus on #Germany, #France, the #Netherlands and the #UK.  In terms of the #Chinese passenger car manufacturers' share of the total West European new passenger car market, it remained just below 3% of the total 9.65 million region after 10 months this year, although, in terms of the BEV-only market, the combined Sino BEV-only brands accounted for 8.8% of the market, according to the latest edition of the #EuropeanElectricCarStudy, with growth slowing rather than accelerating. Please take a look at BIP AutObserver – December 2023 with main registrations results in Europe and Italy. In particular the European market (EU+UK+EFTA) registered a decrease in registrations from 1.090.385 in December 2022 to 1.048.727 cars in December 2023 (-3,8%). Regarding Italy, the market grow of +5,9% is mainly due to the fleet customer segment (+24,3% YTD in total, +24% recorded by long-term rental and +23% recorded by short-term rental). All car segments grown in 2023 but, in terms of MS, both Segment A and Segment B registered a decrease vs 2022. This quarterly edition contains also a special in-depth section on CO2 emission trends, an overview of the Italian Used Cars Market and a section dedicated to the rental segment (see the report for further details). We are proud to tick off the 2025 target already now in 2024, leading the way for a Norwegian car industry working to be fully electric from 2025 onwards. We hope our bold move now can inspire other key players in our industry to go electric, both here in Norway and around the globe.       Our electric success is driven by the effort of a hard working and ambitious team here at Harald A. Møller AS, but is made possible by three other vital elements: 1. Bold Norwegian politicians across the whole political spectrum, working actively towards the 2025 target. 2. Strong support from our partners at Volkswagen AG in Germany, and our dealer network all over Norway 3. A model range of EVs in all segments and sizes, ensuring that all customers can find a suitable Volkswagen on the electric drivetrain.         Now we need to set our eyes on the next target; how fast can we replace all the ICE cars on Norwegian roads with modern zero emission vehicles?
