How lovely it is to learn more about the individuals who teach our young people.

A few weeks back, A Chelsea Football Club super star named Enzo Fernandez posted a live IG story singing an extremely racist song, specifically about French Nationals after the Copa America win for Argentina. Enzo is one of the Prem Leagues most expensive players ever. He is also a a world cup winner. He apologised profusely in the coming days, but the damage was already done to his team mates (of which a few were directly affected) and further pushed the constant, ever-present facet of racism in football. Chelsea Football Club conducted a "thorough" investigation and concluded that they would match Enzos donation to a non-profit with the goal of "ending racism" Chelsea is a football club that is well endowed, has a tremendous brand following, and an icon on in world football. They just made Enzo vice-captain. How do you feel Chelsea executives managed this crisis? What will the effects on the brand, club, and overall team? Youth sports, especially high school sports, allow a platform for young adults to learn some valuable life lessons. How to contend with adversity, learn leadership skills, conflict resolution, the value of hard work, being fruitful in your role(whatever that is), team building, rising from failure and handling success. It’s the main reason I enjoy coaching so much within a sport I played and love. Any funds raised from this silent auction will help these kids in that endeavor. The Bristol Bisons RFC are trailblazing inclusivity in rugby and showcasing that everyone has a space and place on and off the pitch. Their energy, enthusiasm and voice for access to sport without prejudice is incredible. And that’s not even mentioning the fact that they are clearly acing the game and always bring the energy to an event! That's why we jumped at the chance to support them with £8,000 towards their training costs over two years. BFF is donating £100k over the next year to help raise up Bristol communities. For the best part, we gift cost-price beer and help our community sell this to generate 3-5 times its value. But we know that beer is not always appropriate and sometimes, groups need hard cash, in real time, to achieve their ambitions.
