High-speed car races require robust broadcasting technology to meet the challenges of creating thrilling experiences for fans. The 2024 Super Lap Battle at Circuit of the Americas near Austin, TX exemplified these demands. Broadcasting veterans Jeffrey Hart and Ryan Randels had long grappled with technology from competitors that struggled to keep pace. Inside the high-speed cars, camera feeds would frequently drop, severely limiting the duration of in-car streams. The issue wasn’t whether a stream would drop, but when it would happen. The team lived in constant apprehension of losing the feed, ready to switch to an alternate shot at the first sign of the dreaded "black screen of death".
