⚠️Almost Villain Backstory Ahead⚠️ So picture this… You’re 3 months deep into a job hunt after a devastating retrenchment. You’ve applied to scores of jobs, been disappointed by equally as many rejections, and one night as you’re worn down & on the brink of giving up, you wearily type 1 more application to a company. You're not expecting much as you get the usual 'We've received your application' email. About 12 hours later you get a call from this same company where you hear “We saw your resume and we REALLY want to talk with you”. Saying that 1GS was the start of a new chapter would be an understatement. After 365 days of challenge after challenge, here are a few takeaways from my trip down memory lane… ✨In copywriting there HAS to be purpose behind every word ✨The copy on your website is equally as important as the aesthetics ✨Some managers actually have your best interest at heart, rely on them ✨Don’t let corporate fool you, work-life balance can be a thing  ✨It’s possible for businesses, employees and clients to all win And above all “What’s meant for you is already yours”. 😊 Needless to say I’ve genuinely been having a GREAT time (pun definitely intended). How to run a company during wartime? It's been almost 100 days. Here is what I learned: 1. Nothing is impossible, it's just a matter of time. 2. When you don't have time, it's all about focus and prioritization. 3. Having multiple identities is draining. 4. In every low, there are learning gems and thriving opportunities. 5. Rest, eat healthy, and exercise regularly. As people, we have an amazing ability to adapt, Any new situation can bring innovation, and change is not necessarily a bad thing. Think about the last time you had a major change, whether change your career, baby birth, COVID-19, or even war. People do not like change, the unknown can be scary. But look what's coming as a new adventure where you are the writer. My son already started writing, What about you?

My Reflections on the 9-5 Life! I can’t even begin to count the moments I've contemplated quitting my job! The struggle has been real 😩. But hey, who said the professional journey was all smooth sailing? In every role, there are highs and lows, and we can’t quit every time a new challenge comes along. I mean where’s the growth in that? For the first time my “collaborative skills” were taken off my resume and tested in real life. There were times my strategies were tested for loopholes and I ended up asking myself if I knew what I’d been doing all along 🤣. Late nights, on-the job, problem-solving, even sending out apology letters for the occasional slip-up. There’s been great days as well. Days of bellyaching laughter, gifts, employee rewards, learning and unlearning! Countless opportunities for growth. Here are some Key areas of growth I’ve honed: 1. Mastering the art of resolving conflicts within team projects. 2. Time management and ruthless prioritization (Maybe this should have been number one). 3. Navigating the hard days and deciding to keep showing up no matter how hard it gets. 4. Being a team player yet owning my work 5. Keeping things professional no matter how I feel. As I hit the four-month mark in my role as a Content Writer/Lead at a startup real estate construction company, I'm excited to share more of this journey with you all. Let's talk about getting laid off. It's a tough situation that can feel like a punch in the gut. But it's all about how you react. I've been through it, and I'm here to tell you laying off ≠ failure. It's a good reminder that work ≠ worth. Here's how to stay positive: 1. Take some time to feel the feelings and mourn what happened. 2. Then, remember all the other successful people who have been laid off. Examples include Steve Jobs, Oprah Winfrey, and even J.K. Rowling. 3. Use this time to discover your true passions and what you really want to do. 4. Reconnect with people. Join clubs, take classes, or put yourself in networking situations. Remember: It's not your fault It's not the end of the world It's just a bump in the road You got this.

Over the past 5 years, I… 👉🏼 Was laid off for 12+ months 👉🏼 Started a #1 community & newletter 👉🏼 Built a marketing firm 👉🏼 Cultivated & grew my personal brand I would not be where I am today without discipline, consistency, connections, and hearing the word "NO". I started with a commitment and stayed the course to cross the finish line over and over. You can do it too. Know your worth and WALK AWAY if you have doubts. Everyone that; - Said no - Ghosted my job applications - Told me I didn't have experience - Made me go through 5 months of interviews They are coming to work with me to grow their brands. I always say; - Don't burn bridges - Build meaningful connections - LISTEN to others - Know your worth. It’s all about taking that first step and then keeping on going, no matter what 👣

1️⃣0️⃣ 𝗤𝘂𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗠𝗲 1. Career: Successfully built 3 businesses from the ground up. 2. Relationships: Married for almost 20 years to my college sweetheart, and have 2 beautiful babies together, Gus and Maddi. 3. Health: Lost over 110 pounds since my heaviest. 4. Spirituality: Regularly practice meditation and mindfulness, and serve as a Eucharistic Minister and Knight of Columbus. 5. Personal Development: 2 years ago, I founded a real estate investment firm with one of my good buddies and we're just starting to hit our stride...very fun industry with tons of ROI to match your sweat equity. This was super uncomfortable and I'm still learning a TON, but I definitely caught the bug. 6. Creativity: Wrote, produced, cast, starred, sought out locations, locked in animal talent, found a hot rod (and gathered all 200+ props among EVERYTHING ELSE) my very own full-length feature film comedy, AND landed North American distribution (you can watch Dale Archdale on Apple or Amazon). 7. Finance: Bought a home, and have 2 rental properties (and counting), while investing heavily still in the stock market. 8. Education: First to graduate from college in my family, completing a 4-year Bachelor program at John Carroll University with a BSBA in Marketing. 9. Volunteering: Dedicated time to community service, aiding in local initiatives at the Food Bank Central & Eastern NC, and with the Knights of Columbus (and bringing my son along too!). 10. Leadership: I consider myself a leader in everyday activities, whether managing 3 businesses, 2 kids, hundreds of clients, and a couple of mortgage schedules, or being active with friends in the community, leading others towards positive change and progress only benefits the greater good. And I just know smiling and feeling good outweighs negativity and decay. Keep growing. Stay tuned for more insights and reflections on my journey towards credibility! I am incredibly lucky to have had 3 fantastic managers at Seer who each taught me very distinct, but very necessary, lessons that fueled my growth, both personally and professionally, that I use every day. (And as we all know, good things come in threes.) • Christina Avino: Outside of teaching me the building blocks of basically everything that I do every day, you taught me that my job is to move the ball forward and empower others, rather than focus and panic on all the details that I don't know. • Andrew Meyer: You showed me the importance of being direct, asking tough questions, and tying everything back to time and dollars. In a single conversation, your insights, positioning, and next steps taught me years' worth of experience. I try to channel your levelheadedness in every meeting I'm in. • Natalie Price: Storytelling, creativity, and the larger vision is the core of our team, our work, and our humanity. You remind me of this on a near daily basis and are always pushing me to connect the dots, find the throughline, and to take a step back to look at the larger picture. I can't wait to keep learning and growing in this new role, carrying the lessons I've learned along the way! 🌱
