Why can't I be the one? I mean, I hear it lot of times: that you’re not that big brand, you’re not that great, or you’re not great influencers who can make things happen. But every influencer or brand was started by a single person one day. -𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐬 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐚 𝐬𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐡𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐛𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐦𝐞. -𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐝𝐨𝐧’𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐬. Sure, sometimes people say that they gained knowledge from their parents or family because they were in the same field. But you don’t have that background? Nobody's lining up for your products or services without a genuine connection first. In the digital age, it's not enough to have a groundbreaking product or an indispensable service. The secret? Building authentic relationships with your audience BEFORE you pitch. Take it from the recent homage to country singer Toby Keith on several social platforms. This tribute, unrelated to any product, resonated deeply, demonstrating the power of connection over promotion. Social media influencers are masters of this craft. They spend years creating relatable, shareablecontent, forging a bond with their audience. When they eventually promote a product, like Logan Hall and KSI's Prime energy drink, their loyal followers rush to support them. The lesson is clear: Connect first, sell later. So how do you start? Dive deep into understanding your audience. Engage with them, share stories or tributes that resonate on a human level, even if they stray from your brand's core message. This builds a foundation of trust and camaraderie. Remember, it's not about pitching your latest product but about creating moments that invite your audience into your world. Do this effectively, and when the time comes to promote, you'll have a community eager to support you. Let's start fostering those connections.

LinkedIn is a sport of curiosity. I'll admit, I'm a rookie player on the bench. I watched the game for years. But... You won't win or grow here by watching others. The winning players are always more curious. - What post frequency works? - Which app works best? - What impacts the algorithm? - What does my audience want? - Am I in line with my own values? It's a place where failure is fact and perfection is fiction. The more you fail = the more you win. The more you experiment, the more you learn. I've learned more from two weeks of networking with others and just pressing "post" than I ever did reading tips from other influencers. I want to share what I learned. - Actively messaging increases reach - Commenting on others increases followers - Taplio might be better than Buffer (jury is out) - Meeting new people here is a lot of fun - It's ok to be yourself on #LinkedIn. I am realizing how foolish people are. Chasing a race we never started. Executing actions we never wanted. And then December rolls by, all year spent in a haze. Feel free to ditch these: 1) How many followers you have. 2) How cool is your business. 3) How can you match competitors with every execution. 4) Whether you get 10 or 58 likes on posts. 5) Whether you rank in the top 200 influencers. 6) Whether your offline connections giggle at your efforts. 7) Whether you should engage for 3 hours or pay people to comment. These things do nothing but waste your time. Focus on 3 things to get enquiries in 6-8 weeks: 1) Your business-offers-messaging alignment. 2) Content that shows your clients you are their best option. 3) Networking with a plan to get into the buyer’s mind. You win when you act. It gets easier when my clients build a strategy with me— but they do the work that needs to be done. When your circle of influence and information is wide, you will stay confused. Narrow it down, you will start winning. Ciao.
