Hmpf.
I came to Port Lincoln last week to see the Great White Sharks, a lifelong dream of mine. But they decided to continue their ten-week streak of playing it coy. I even went out on the water twice!
There’s a lingering disappointment.
Intellectually, I know it’s been wonderful to have a change of scenery and pace, but I spent a fair chunk of change to specifically see Great Whites. If I just wanted a change of scenery, I’d pick somewhere warmer this time of year with a pool deck and mai tais 😜🌴😎🍹
But as I wait in the airport to return home, I’m reminded this is all part of it. I don’t want to turn my life into a series of lessons (I am no LinkedInfluencer, so hopefully the photos help), but it’s been this perfect reminder that we need to work and put in effort for what we truly want. Sometimes you get lucky on your first try in life, and other times you need to try again and again and again (but hopefully no more than three times for wild predator sightings). Too many expect the world, when giving such lackluster effort in return. I refuse to be one those people! I hope you all feel a bit inspired this Monday to act the same.
