So proud of the whole #ZuSEKIMobil consortium and our technology partners - a great team effort, and a great investment by Dream Chip Technologies GmbH alike. To date, the most complex chip development in a research project publicly funded by BMBF. Congrats to Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung for having the foresight with the ZuSE program, making sure such deep tech projects continue to be possible in Germany. This serves as a great contribution to technological sovereignty. I fully concur with what Mario Brandenburg said during the panel discussion: "Technological sovereignty does not mean to do everything alone and by oneself. It means being able to shape your future at eye level in an international, competitive environment." Hardware-Software-Co-Design is all about that eye level of future embedded systems design. 10 steps towards #FVLLMONTI - Step 1: Process Integration of 3D Vertical Junctionless Transistors With the continuous advancement toward nanometer technology nodes, device architectures have become increasingly complex, integrating dimension shrinking and new integration schemes to enhance device density. The Gate-All-Around (GAA) architecture is poised to supersede the FinFET architecture for nodes below 3 nm, aiming to improve drive current capability, enhance channel control, reduce leakage currents, and decrease dynamic power consumption. Vertical Transport GAA devices offer significant potential for denser devices by minimizing contact pitch and utilizing a 3D configuration to mitigate routing congestion. This talk discusses the current state-of-the-art demonstrations and limitations of such architectures, particularly in gate length scaling and 3D contact assessment. Additionally, the concept of 3D integration of multiple device stacking will be introduced.
