CSULB Grad Student: Info Systems, Machine Learning, and AI | Entrepreneurial Lifelong Learner | Passion for Sustainable Competitive Advantage | Innovative Solutions for a Data Driven World

Years ago, I was introduced to CSEF (College Skateboarding Educational Foundation) at a skateboarding competition organized by the Action Sports Kids Foundation. Back then, the prospect of enrolling in university seemed quite daunting. However, I'll always be grateful to the director of Team A.S.K. for writing me a letter of recommendation when it came time for enrollment. Team A.S.K. has played a pivotal role in our local community, significantly reducing crime by building numerous skateparks in Long Beach and promoting personal growth. Their mission: Action Sports Kids Foundation is a Long Beach-based non-profit committed to offering youth an alternative to street life and gangs through sports, education, and community engagement. Our Long Beach Skate Park Program, one of the nation's most successful, has conclusively lowered crime rates, boosted self-esteem, increased school attendance, and saved lives among our most vulnerable youth. The data unequivocally demonstrates the program's positive impact on our community's hot spots. My long-term aspiration is to make a lasting impact on my community by leveraging the power of data science. I believe in its potential to empower individuals with knowledge, enhance decision-making processes, and provide tailored solutions. While each community is unique, transparency and data-driven insights can help us identify and address challenges effectively. #CSEF #ActionSportsKidsFoundation #CommunityImpact #DataScience #Empowerment #lifelonglearning #nonprofit
